INFORMANT:
I met this guy from an online dating website. He is using the name of Andrew Scott William, 50 years old. He said that he is a Muslim revert and his Muslim name is Naheem. He is a widower, claiming to lost his wife in a war of cancer and had a son together, Chris (Muslim name is Arafat, which later I found out that it is he himself!), aged 16 years old
His details are as follows:

He asked for my number because he said it is easier to use WhatsApp to communicate with each other.
After a while, he introduced me to his son (Chris @ Arafat) and gave his “son’s” number saying that that boy was asking for me, and if I want to talk to the “boy” I can add him on WhatsApp at +19197595466.
I figured out there are many inconsistent information from the things he told me, but I just kept quiet and see where his game will lead me to.
This “Andrew” is really a sweet talker, and even asked me to marry him after 10 days of talking to each other! How can that be possible to propose someone when they didn’t even meet each other?!
His “son” told me that he will be going to Dubai for research tour and practical. After few days in “Dubai”, Chris told me that he got sick because of the food served to the students is not good, and got admitted at the hospital. Later, he asked me if I can give him some little money to buy food.
I told “Andrew” that his son needs some money to buy food. He even asked me can I send some money to his son because he is now at the big sea and can’t transfer the money, which for me doesn’t make sense at all.
His son gave me the teacher’s account details, as follows:

After failing to do the money transfer, his son asked me if I could buy Apple GIFT CARD, and his teacher will buy it from him there in Dubai. When someone asked you to buy a gift card, it is clearly a scam because the card activity cannot be traced when we want to lodge police report. I video called his son few times but he never pick up (you know why… ;)). I didn’t reply to his text, and he got angry and blocked me on Whatsapp.
I continue to do online search for this “Andrew” and found your website. He has been doing this scamming activity for few years now:

Well, this is what happened to me. And I share this with you guys out there to be very careful of scammers. They are cunning but not so clever at some point.

*(!) An interactive video was shown to the Informant.
Scammers will often use an interactive video based on webcam chats with victims or stolen off porn model websites etc. This video will be able to show the scammer doing obvious actions if they are asked. Most often the scammer will know the video well and so at the right moment be able to tell victim something such as “Hang on the phone rang” and he will then be seen leaving to answer the phone. Often the videos are fairly repetitive and loop back, and of course the scammer won’t be able to show himself doing things a victim might ask him to do (wave his hand, give a wink etc…) Beware of webcam that does not look like the person he claims to be .

Me too, I don’t think I am. I try to judge people on how they treat me and my loved ones, not on their beliefs, color, native origins etc
I don’t lump everyone into one category because maybe one person is “bad”.
I have always tried to teach my child to judge ppl by their character, not their race etc.
Unfortunately, my late wife is very prejudiced and this has rubbed off on my young son, and I am constantly reminding him not to act that way. It is an ongoing struggle.

I used to have a bad temper when I was young but my martial arts training and reading affirmation books and mixing with positive people helped a lot.
I get angry when people don’t listen to what I have to say, or cut me off before I complete my thought.
I also don’t like to be belittled or told I am stupid or my views are wrong. If my opinion is asked for then my opinion should be respected
I get angry at cruelty…to people or animals. I get angry about lots of injustices, so I’ll lump them all together
I’m sure there are other things, too, but those come to mind right now..I think the martial arts are a great help in finding a way to confront anger.
