Contacted me 12/2021 using the Words with Friends App.
ADMIN:
We have to base our information on what we were sent by the informant. They had no idea what the scam was and assumed it was a romance scam. Needless to say we had to check up what we had and uncovered the method behind what she was being told. We admit we do not know every scam in existence, but we know one when we see it.
The scammer gave to the Informant his e-mail address for Google Hangout which is alexmark3008@gmail.com. The name used by the scammer for Hangout was Alex Mark:

The scammer just pays a little bit for the service but he can be anywhere, Africa, China or wherever he is. We only have a few pictures sent to us by the informant and they are not tied to anything in particular, except they may be profile photos. We have found several fake profiles using the same photo sets, but we have another blog we published (below).
SUMMARY:
Victims are contacted on Telegram, WhatsApp, Line, WeChat, Instagram and dating websites and a romance scam is used to lure them in. In this case the scammer dropped hints about how much money he was getting to sweeten the victim up. Eventually scammers talk about investing in crypto and victims are told to go to the website below to invest in crypto but once funds are transferred to a wallet the victim can never get their money back.
Main Information:
This trading scam is known as PIG BUTCHERING, the victim being the “pig”. It appears to be mostly carried out from China. This shows the esteem and respect scammers give victims is completely non existent
