INFORMANT:
I met you on Whatsapp. Phone number +234 9166339461 named Henry Chriten Paul, Australian. After 2 weeks of chatting via Whatsapp, we have feelings for each other. He told me to give me a gift, and send the goods to my country. I was told that he sent me a gift box. Next day in the morning staff at our airport called me from the phone number: +84 333862449 to receive the goods and pay the amount fee: 2,000 usd and requested to be deposited into the personal account of the staff in the airport of the diplomatic office. I refused and he emailed me scolding me and stopped contacting me.
ADMIN:
We’ve only got from the Informant a few fragmented and divided parts of chat. The parts of chats that were sent were not in chronological order and it’s impossible to sort it out without dates, so we have to publish what we think is the right order.
We tried everything we could to get more information from the informant. We completely failed to get more. We don’t know what the fake parcel delivery was about, what the supposed courier website is, and what the enticement of the scammer was. However, we have published what we can . It is not ideal, but it still serves as a warning about these fairly common parcel delivery scams. Just remember that if a “stranger on the internet ” is going to send something, then there is no treason why you should pay for it in advance. It’s a sure sign it is a scam!
