INFORMANT:

I have been scammed by the Facebook user Roy Ethan. Here is the link to his profile:

We started our communication on Facebook messenger and continued on WhatsApp.

I sent you screenshots of conversation on WhatsApp.
He used the numbers +1 (205) 270-7140 *(!) and current is +1 (218) 499-9310 **(!). And also a number of a person called Calvin: +1 (609) 536-3794 ***(!). Roy Ethan said it’s his Boss.

He told me he is working on the rig in Malaysia. First time he asked for money was on WhatsApp. He told me he needs a new mobile phone because he dropped his phone into the ocean and he needs a new one for communication with me.

After that he send me a document which proved that he needs to pay 4000€ for his leave, but later I was told that € 2000 would be enough too.

I don’t have his email because we never communicate through email.

Roy Ethan changed his Facebook page and uploaded a few picture of a different person..

I only attached screenshots that deal with the money. There are over 100…

I hope my information is a warning to other women.

The scammer used stolen pictures of two different persons: Mathew Sapaula and James Scott Geras on his Profile

Photos of Matt Sapaula (is a Marine Corps Veteran, Entrepreneur, U.S.)

Photos of James Scott Geras (is an American social media star who has gained popularity through the eponymous Instagram account)

In a few days the scammer removed pictures of Matt Sapaula from his Profile and is using only pictures of James Scott Geras
