I had an Army General reply to be or message me
Someone wants me to send money. He was talking to me as General Lieutenant Eric Ethan Bernard
Claims to be in Yemen / war / hunger / US army not having food due to camp with food destroyed
He wants to retire, claims that to do that needs to pay money and the same time do not have access to his account
I have email address. I do not have phone number. This person still thinks I do not know who he is.
I see his email as SEU CORREIO DE CAIXA and this is ericbernard231101@gmail.com
He clamed they recruit on a daily basis because many people loose life.
He wanted me to send the money to the somebody’s Bank account and then in a different way by Bitcoin. He claimed that US Army camps have bitcoin pockets and they can exchange it in Yemen in bitcoin atm. but I didn’t get any details.We met on Instagram. His Profile has been deleted.
He told me “I got a notification that they are trying to hack my Instagram account so I deactivated it, only for me to log in back and couldn’t “. But later when my doubts increased I asked him again that I wanted to read our chat and then he just told me that account was hacked not mentioning his possibility to log in for him.
The chat from Instagram is not available for me. But it was a short one.The scammer used the name “Eric Bernard”. Instagram name is “ericbernard8412” *(!) profile with this photo:
The scammer was claiming that he has nobody from his family living and only one friend in Afghanistan, but was not able to give me surname of that friend.
I didn’t receive any documents from him. Probably I would get some as I told him that I need some paper to confirm that I have real and important reasons why I am sending money abroad when I do not have enough for my children. But when I realized he is 100% scammer I stopped communication.
After reading your tips on the website, so as not to arouse suspicions that I no longer believe in the story of the scammer I answered once more just to tell him that I need some time as I have family issue. He was sure I am ready to help him to pay for his leave from Yemen sending him money for children in Yemen and for airplane ticket.
Fortunately for me this lesson didn’t cost me so much. It didn’t cost me money but only a “rollercoaster” ride. I went through hearing about all those dying in bulk, on almost every patrol, young people.
