INFORMANT:

I just received a message from a man calling himself Owen and that he was a soldier in Afghanistan. He then told me his name was Owen James, aged 52. Needless to say, first thing I did was ask him specific questions to get info, although probalby false, from him. I like to see how they use words and so forth. I ask him to go outside and take a selfie. He sent me some photos. As soon as I called him out all the fake photos from his Instagram account were deleted, at least as far as I can see.

ADMIN:

*(!) US military are NOT peacekeeping in Afghanistan, no soldier would tell you that. The UN do not have any “peacekeeping” force there. You can download a document in publications about this. Needless to say the “mission “is so “secret” the scammer wants strangers and the world to know. In fact no soldier would discuss any such mission with anybody, if it were true. If you see the word “secret” or “peacekeeping” mentioned you can be 100% certain you are dealing with a scammer.
